Everything around you is numbers” — Shakuntala Devi As part of Calculation Skills Enhancement Programme; ANNUAL CALCULATION EVENTS 2023-24 were conducted on 12th December , 2023 at Columbus Public School , Rudrapur by team AdvAcad. The prominent events were: • Calculation Championship – Final Round • Vedic Maths Inter-House Quiz • The Ambidexterity Race • Sutra Writing – Calligraphy Competition • Flash Card Drawing Competition House Red won The Vedic Maths Quiz where they outscored other teams in terms of Calculation Speed and overall conceptual clarity in Vedic Mathematics. Final Round of Calculation Championship was also conducted where selected students participated in a conventional pen paper based assessment to exhibit their Calculation Skills. Students also participated in Vedic Maths Sutra Writing Calligraphy Competition where they creatively wrote one of the Sixteen Sanskrit Sutras which are derived from Atharva-Veda. They first Calligraphed the sutra and then also it’s english transliteration and translation. Students also exhibited their Ambidexterity Skills in the Ambidexterity Race where they wrote with both of their hands as at Columbus Public School we believe that ‘Both Hands are RIGHT’ Students from Junior Classes also submitted Abacus Flash Cards where they learned that EVERY NUMBER HAS A FACE. Team from Advacad Solutions was also present here; headed by Tarik Chhabra & Pradeep K Rao (Co- Founders, Advacad) and Pankaj Chamoli (Operations Head, Uttarakhand). Students were supervised and motivated by our Abacus & Vedic Maths trainer, Mili Agarwal.
